Associate Professor - Igneous Petrology - Aarhus University (Denmark)

The Department of Earth Sciences invites applications for a tenured position at the associate professor level, starting March 1, 2010. We seek a highly motivated hard-rock geologist, whose main field is the petrology and geochemistry of igneous systems, preferably including interests in economic geology and ore genesis.

The candidate must have a strong research record and is expected to establish externally funded research activities. The position includes overall responsibility for electron microprobe and X-ray flourescence laboratories. Teaching obligations include undergraduate and graduate courses and supervision of B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. students.To be considered at the associate professor level, the candidate must have at least three years postdoc experience.
