Spare berths for IR Cruise Bursaries

Information on spare berths on cruises:

  1. Emily Klein (Duke) and Hans Schouten (WHOI), Chief Scientists of the Cocos-Nazca Rift Cruise, are offering 2 to 5 berths to early-career scientists. This ~30-day NSF-funded cruise to the eastern Pacific Ocean is scheduled to depart Manzanillo, Mexico on May 1, 2018, returning to San Diego, USA (subject to change) onboard RV Roger Revelle.
    Multibeam bathymetry, magnetic, and gravity data will be collected at western end of the rift, east of triple junction between 102° and 99° W, and ~60 rock dredges will be performed along segments S2-S8.
    InterRidge will offer at least one cruise bursary to this project.

Candidates should send a completed application form, CV, a letter of support from his/her supervisor/laboratory/university, and a letter of invitation from the cruise chief scientist to the InterRidge Coordinator.
