Peking University has established a new program in physical oceanography, with the aim to significantly enhance research and education in climate dynamics and ocean-atmosphere interaction. Successful candidates will have a unique opportunity to collaborate with an interdisciplinary group of scientists in atmospheric and oceanic sciences as well as in other fields.

We are seeking an early-career high achieving geoscientist with expertise in petroleum geology to join a group of geoscientists working within the School of Earth and Environment. The position will be affiliated with the Centre for Petroleum Geoscience and the appointee will be expected to work collaboratively with other geoscientists involved in applied earth science research within the University, government and industry.
The professor's research field is physical oceanography with special focus on physical-biological interactions at small and intermediate scales. Relevant research topics range from studies of organism-fluid interactions at the level of the individual to the implementation of biological-physical interaction in regional-scale ecosystem and oceanographic models.
